DON’T EVER LET THEM TELL YOU, IT WASN’T LOVE.

“Don’t ever let them tell you it wasn’t love. My dear Don’t..!

The heart is complex– with all its wantings. With what it chases and wants to have chase it back. How it latches on to others– even when it makes little sense to anyone else.

That’s just a portion of its beauty. It’s one of those things that can’t be coerced. It can’t be forced. It just is. And it grows within us, changing everything. But it yours to define. It’s yours to feel. It’s often– often– going to make no sense to anyone else. They may question. They may push.

They may say they know you better than you know yourself. Well maybe in some ways they do. But not this one.

Love is yours. Don’t ever let them tell you you’re too young or you can’t possibly understand. Don’t let them question how you could possibly love someone like that. Sure– we all eat a few lies when our hearts are hungry. And we all stumble upon a few roses with too many thorns. But that’s how we learn. And that’s not an experience we should ever be shielded from. So yes. You’re going to love some people you probably shouldn’t. And it’s going to make no sense to anyone else. And that’s ok.

The heart has reasons which reason can never understand. Be strong, sweet girl. Question everything in your life if you need to. Ask why you waited so long and why you couldn’t see and maybe, why it is the two of you just couldn’t get it right. But never, never let them tell you it wasn’t love. Because your heart knows better, doesn’t it?”
